Northstar BioProducts™ (Northstar) was introduced in the summer of 2005 as the new Brand name for ACC's Research Products (formerly Seikagaku America).

Northstar provides premium quality reagents and fine chemicals for applications in glycobiology and glycoprotein characterization.

The Seikagaku America product line which in the past had been managed separately by ACC, has now been merged into Northstar and will continue to be offered as one of the many unique brands under Northstar BioProducts™. Northstar BioProducts™ is now recognized as a premiere provider of carbohydrate chemistry oriented products including glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), GAG enzymes, mucopolysaccharides, monoclonal antibodies to glycoconjugates, endoglycosidases, exo-glycosidases, as well as defined molecular weight hyaluronic acids and standards and much more.

Northstar BioProducts' strengths include its position as a leading global supplier of Zymolyase and AMV-RT enzymes and ELISA kits for Heparan Sulfate and Keratan Sulfate, as well as distribution agreements with new, key suppliers including Ludger Products and Hyalose.

Northstar BioProducts has also recently expanded our enzyme portfolio to include 26 additional key enzymes required for accurate glyco-profiling. -Monodisperse Hyaluronic acids (Select HA™ )
Select-HA™ is a hyaluronic acid (HA) preparation of uniform and narrow size distribution prepared by in vitro synthesis using recombinant Pasteurella multocida hyaluronan synthase through a novel, controlled enzymatic process. Select HA's provide a wide range of mono-dispersed (single molecular weight species) hyaluronic acids offering targeted research and development of hyaluronans within specified molecular weight ranges.

-Select HA Ladders: Select-HA™ is a hyaluronic acid (HA) preparation of uniform and narrow size distribution prepared by in vitro synthesis using recombinant Pasteurella multocida hyaluronan synthase1. The LoLadder contains five Select-HA™ molecular mass markers in the range of ~25 kDa to 500kDa. The masses are 27 kDa, 110 kDa, 214 kDa, 310 kDa and 495 kDa.; the HiLadder contains five Select-HA™ molecular mass markers in the range of ~500 kDa to 1500kDa. The masses aree 495 kDa, 572 kDa, 966 kDa, 1090 kDa and 1510 kDa; the MegaLadder contains five Select-HA™ molecular mass markers in the range of ~1500 kDa to 6000kDa.
